The Armed Forces Tribunal is a military tribunal of India. It was established on 8th August 2009 and is a statutory body set up under the Armed Forces Tribunal Act 2007. The tribunal follows the procedure as practised in the High Court of India; and for that Armed Forces Tribunal ( Procedure) rules, 2008 are followed by it. Paramilitary forces are not included in the jurisdiction of the armed forces tribunal.
