Constitution day which is also known as the Samvidhan Divas is celebrated every year on November 26 to mark the day on which the Constitution of India was adopted. While the adoption of the Constitution took place on November 26, 1949, it came into effect on January 26, 1950, hence option (b) is correct.

The draft of the constitution was prepared by the drafting committee under BR Ambedkar’s aegis. According to the government notification, Constitution Day was also a tribute to Ambedkar.

भारत का संविधान जिस दिन अपनाया गया था, उस दिन को चिह्नित करने के लिए 26 नवंबर को हर साल संविधान दिवस के रूप में जाना जाता है। जबकि संविधान का अंगीकरण 26 नवंबर, 1949 को हुआ, यह 26 जनवरी, 1950 को लागू हुआ, इसलिए विकल्प (b) सही है।
