Q) Fuel is consumned at the rate of 100kg/s in a rocket. the exhaust gases are ejected at a speed of 45,000 m/s with respect to the rocket . what is the thrust experienced by the rocket ?
also calculate the velocity of the rocket at the instant when the mass is reduced to 1/10 th of its initial mass . ( initial velocity of rocket is 0 )

u: velocity of exhaust gasses
R= rate of consumption of fuel

Thrust= - 100 x 45000 =- 4.5 x 10 6 N

We know

v=v0+ulnM0Mv=45000×lnm1m10or v=45000 m/s upward.
