Question

Q. In a circuit with one bulb another bulb added in series what will happen to the bulbs when the current is passed?

Open in App
Solution

If two bulbs are connected in series same current will flow through them, and they will glow eqaully brightly if they have the same power rating, but this glow will be very less than the glow of one bulb connected to the power supply, because the 2 bulbs will apply more resistance and hence the current in the circuit decreses in as voltage applied remains the same.

So the bulbs will be less brighter than if only one bulb was connected with the source.
