Indian Space Research Organisation has launched a special program for School Children called “Young Scientist Programme” (YUVIKA: Yuva Vigyani Karyakram) from the year 2019. It is primarily aimed at imparting basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the young students with the intent of arousing their interest in the activities going on in Space. ISRO has chalked out this program to “Catch them young”.
3 students from each State and Union Territory will be selected to participate in this program covering CBSE, ICSE and State syllabus. Students from 9th standard will be eligible for the scheme.
