Concentrated sulphuric acid is a strong dehydrated agent. It takes out the water of crystallization from the crystals of copper sulphate leaving behind an anhydrous white powder of Cu2SO4.
Cu2SO4.5H2O ------> Cu2SO4 + 5H2O
