1) Yes, they are principally consists of carbon and hydrogen bonds. As fossil fuels are the natural fuels formed deep under the earth from the remains of dead living organisms by the action of intense heat and pressure.

2) Coke is better fuel than coal because on burning coke does not produces smoke also it has high calorific value so it produces more heat.
