1) The Civil code of 1804 was also known as Napoleonic code spread to all countries including Switzerland, Italy and Germany

2) Napoleon simplified administrative divisions thereby abolishing feudal system. He freed the peasants and other sections of society from serfdom and manorial dues

3) T ransport and Communications network improved and peasants, artisans, workers and businessmen enjoyed freedom that were gained due to Napoleon's u niform laws, standardised measures and weights, common currency system which facilitated the movement and exchange of goods from one region to another
