1. Rheo leaf in water: when the cells of rheo leaf are observed under a microscope after the leaf is palced in plain water, these are the observations: The cells appear plump and turgid than before. This is due to the process of osmosis where water molecules moved into the cells of the rheo leaf. This happens because the plain water is hypotonic to the cell cytoplasm and hence, due to osmosis water molecules will move to this high concentration.
