Let, x litres of vessel A and y litres of vessel B are taken.

$\frac{4}{7}x+\frac{2}{5}y=\frac{1}{2}(x+y)$

$\Rightarrow (\frac{1}{2}-\frac{4}{7})x=(\frac{2}{5}-\frac{1}{2})y$

$\Rightarrow -\frac{1}{14}x=-\frac{y}{10}$

$\Rightarrow x:y=\frac{7}{5}$
