Quantity of milk and water in x litres of A will be 4x/7 and 3x/7 litres respectively.
Similarly, Quantity of milk and water in 1 litre of B will be 4/9 and 5/9 litres respectively.
Now, Total quantity of milk in the new mixture = total quantity of water in the new mixture
4x/7 + 4/9 = 3x/7 + 5/9
x = 7/9
This means both mixtures should be mixed in the ratio (7/9):1 = 7:9
