Solution

Dear Student,

The new Civil Code rolled out by Napoleon in 1804, known as the Napoleonic Code, dismissed all the advantages ordained at birth and initiated equality before law and governance. This code was exported to all the regions that were brought under the rule of Napoleon in due course of time. The peasants, small businessmen were very happy with this new code. But the landlords and noble people in France, feudal lords and manors in Italy and Switzerland were also unhappy with this code. Even in towns, guild restrictions were removed. So, all the people who always enjoyed their advantages ordained due to family status or birth were upset with the new code. The primary enthusiasm of liberty that French employment brought to Warsaw, Milan, Brussels and Mainz slowly disappeared and dissatisfaction grew among people of the newly occupied territories.
