Solution

The correct option is B

(b) Coffee

It is indigenous to Abyssinia Plateau (Ethiopia) from where it was taken to Arabia. From Arabia, its seeds were brought to India by Baba Budan and were raised in the Baba Budan Hills of Karnataka. British Planters took keen interest in coffee plantations and large coffee estates were established near Chikmagalur (Karnataka), in Mandantody (Wynad), Shevroy and Nilgiri. Currently, there are a number of Coffee gardens in India.
