Solution

The correct option is A

(a) Only 1 and 2

Recently cyclone Mora affected Sri Lanka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bangladesh, Myanmar etc. The monsoon's arrival will be delayed due to the Cyclone Mora which cooled down sea surface temperatures and reduced convection and cloud cover.

  • Recently, western coast of India was hit by the tropical cyclone Ockhi.

Tropical Cyclone Gita made landfall in Tonga on 12 February 2018, causing severe damage to the main island of Tongatapu. The cyclone damaged or destroyed almost 2,000 homes, caused the evacuation of over 4,500 people and left more than 80% of homes in Tonga without power.
