Solution

Dear Student,

1) MgCl2- Deliquescent substances are those which absorbs water from the atmosphere and turns into a solution.
2) AgCl - Silver chloride does not dissolve in water
3) ZnCO3- When zinc carbonate is heated, it releases carbon dioxide and oxygen. A residue of zinc oxide is left behind which is yellow in colour but turns white on cooling.
4) Ca(NO3)2- When calcium nitrate is heated, brown coloured gas which is nitrogen oxide is released and the solid calcium oxide is left behind.
