Let daughter's age = x

Father's age = 3x

Wife's age = 3x — 9

Son's age = x + 7

According to question 1

Son's age = 1/2 mother's age

x+ 7 =1-2 (3x — 9)

x = 23

Wife's age = 3x - 9

= 69 - 9

= 60 years
