In a college, out of 4320 students, 2300 are girls. Find the ratio of:

Number of girls to the total number of students.

Total number of students in school = 4320

Number of girls = 2300

Ratio of girls to total number of students

= $\frac{N u m b e r o f g i r l s}{T o t a l n u m b e r o f s t u d e n t s}$

$= \frac{2300}{4320}$ = $\frac{115}{216}$ = $115 : 216$ [Dividing numerator and denominator by HCF of 2300 and 4320 i.e. 20]
