A coil of insulated copper wire is connected to a galvanometer. What will happen if a bar magnet is
(i) pushed into the coil?

(i) As magnet is moved, the magnitude of field (or number of magnetic field lines) passing through the coil changes and a current is induced inside the coil. So, the galvanometer needle gets deflected when the bar magnet is being moved.
