Given, initial velocity, u=80ms−1, final velocity, v=0, mass, m=50g=501000=0.05kg and time, t=8s.
Acceleration =a=v−ut=−808ms−2=−10ms−2
As, there is only frictional force acting on the body, so
force F=ma=0.05×10=0.5N
