Uses of washing soda:

Uses of baking soda:

$\bullet$ As a baking powder. Baking powder is a mixture of baking soda and a mild acid known as tartaric acid. When it is heated or mixed with water, it releases ${\text{CO}}_2$ that makes bread or cake fluffy.
$\bullet$ In soda-acid fire extinguishers, to release ${\text{CO}}_2$ gas.
