The number of students liking cricket to the total number of students.

Given, total number of students = 30

Number of students who like cricket = 12

The ratio of students like cricket to that of total students

= $\frac{N u m b e r o f s t u d e n t s l i k i n g c r i c k e t}{T o t a l n u m b e r o f s t u d e n t s}$

$= \frac{12}{30} = \frac{2}{5} = 2 : 5$
