Impulse enters a neuron through the dendrites. The information acquired at the end of the dendritic tip of a nerve cell sets off a chemical reaction that sends the impulse to the cell body where it is processed. From the cell body, the impulse moves into the axon and then to the axonal ends. From the axonal ends, the impulse leaves the neuron and can go the dendrites of another neuron through the synapse.
