Question 2(f)
Write True (T) or False (F) against the following statement:
0.9:0.36::10:4
If two ratios are equal, we say that they are in proportion and use the symbol ‘::’ or ‘=’ to equate the two ratios.
Ratio of 0.9 to 0.36 = 0.90.36 = 10 : 4 = 5:2
Ratio of 10 to 4 = 104 = 10 : 4 =5:2
Since, 0.9 : 0.36 = 10 : 4
Therefore, 0.9, 0.36, 10, 4 are in proportion.
Hence, it is true.
