Solution:

Given, amount charged by autorickshaw for first km = ₹10

Amount charged by autorickshaw, for each subsequent km = ₹8

Total distance = $d$ km

Distance travelled with fare ₹10 = 1 km

Distance travelled with fare ₹8 = $d - 1$

$∴ T o t a l c h a r g e = 10 \times 1 + (d - 1) 8$

$10 + 8 d - 8 = ₹ (8 d + 2)$
