Why are lysosomes known as suicide bags?

Lysosomes are vesicular structures which contain digestive enzymes. These enzymes are capable of breaking down the foreign particles in the cell. In some cases, the lysosomes cause self-destruction by releasing the digestive enzyme in the cells and hence are called suicide bags.
