Based on the chemical composition of substances, changes are classified into physical changes and chemical changes.

The change in which the composition of a substance is not altered and no new substance is formed is a physical change.

Examples of physical changes: cutting of an apple and melting of candle wax, etc.

Both the characteristics are correct. During a physical change, the properties of a substance change and these changes are reversible in nature.
