Question 41
Reproduction is linked to the stability of the population of a species. Justify the statement.
In reproduction, DNA passes from one generation to the next. Copying of DNA takes place with consistency but the probability of this copying which can go wrong stands at 1/ 1,000,000,000. For multicellular organisms, this is a fair amount which leads to variation. But by and large, DNA copying is almost constant. This consistency leads to the stability of species. Thus, reproduction is linked to the stability of the population of a species.
