Find the ratio of the following:

30 minutes to 45 minutes

Ratios are used to compare quantities which have same units

Since units of both the numbers are same (in minute), hence we can find the ratio.

Ratio of 30 minutes to 45 minutes = $\frac{30}{45}$

= $\frac{2}{3}$ = $2:3$ [Dividing numerator and denominator by HCF of 30 and 45 i.e. 15]
