(a) The median from A meets BC at D. Find the coordinates of point D.

(a) Coordinates of D can be calculated as follows:
Using section formula, x=m1x2+m2x1m1+m2,y=m1y2+m2y1m1+m2
In this case (m1=1,m2=1andx1=6,x2=1,y1=5,y2=4) x=1+62=72 y=4+52=92
Therefore, coordinates of point D is (72,92).
