A car can travel 240km in 15 litres of petrol. How much distance will it travel in 25 litres of petrol?

Given, distance travelled by car in 15 litres = 240 km

Using unitary method in which first we find the value of one unit and then the value of the required number of units.
Distance travel by a car in 1 ;itre = $\frac{240}{15}$ = 16km
$\therefore$ Distance travel by a car in 25 litres = $16\times 25$ = 400km.
Hence, the car will travel 400 km in 25 litres.
