The cost of leveling the ground in the form of a triangle having the sides 51m, 37m and 20m at the rate of Rs.3 per m2 is Rs.918.

Let sides of a triangle be a = 51m, b = 37m and c = 20m.
Now, semi-perimeter of triangle,
s=a+b+c2=51+37+202=1082=54m
Area of triangle =s(sa)(sb)(sc) [by Heron’s formula]
=54(5451)(5437)(5420)
=54×3×17×34
=9×3×2×3×17×17×2
=3×3×2×17=306m2
Given that the cost of leveling per m2 = Rs.3
The cost of leveling per 306 m2=3×306=Rs.918
