The pie chart given below shows the result of a survey carried out on 72 childeren to find the modes of travel used by the children to go school. Study the pie chart and answer the questions that follow.

How many children use taxi to travel to school?

Answer 1

The central angle for Taxi will be,
$\Rightarrow {360}^{\circ }$-(${90}^{\circ }$+${120}^{\circ }$+${60}^{\circ }$+${60}^{\circ }={30}^{\circ }$.

And we know that the total number of children surveyed = 72

$\therefore$ The number of children who use taxi to travel are
$\Rightarrow \frac{{30}^{\circ }}{{360}^{\circ }}\times 72=6$
