Why should an electrician use rubber gloves while repairing an electric switch at your home? Explain.

Electricians frequently touch copper wires or they may accidentally come in contact with live wires (wires carrying current). Since the human body is a good conductor of electricity, electricians may get shock. Rubber is an insulator, which does not allow electric current to pass through it. So, inorder to prevent themselves from electric shock or flow of electric current, the electricians should use rubber gloves while repairing.
