Pattern B consists of four tiles like pattern A. Write a proportion involving red dots and transparent dots in pattern A and B. Are they in direct proportion? If yes, write the constant of proportion.

The number of transparent dots in pattern A (* ) = 4
The number of blue dots in pattern A(*) = 2
Pattern B consist of four tiles like pattern A i.e.
Pattern A $\times 4$ = pattern 6
$\therefore$ Portortion pattern $=\frac{2}{6}=\frac{1}{2}$
Now, proportion of blue dots and transparent dots in pattern $B=\frac{B}{32}=\frac{1}{4}$
