Solution

Total area of paper =ar(I)+ar(II)+ar(III)+ar(IV)+ar(V)
ar(IV)=ar(V)
Total paper required =ar(I)+ar(II)+ar(III)+2ar(IV)
ar(I)=12×1×5=2.5cm2
ar(II)=1×6.5=6.5cm2
ar(III)=12(1+2)×1=1.5cm2
ar(IV)=12×6×1.5=4.5cm2
Therefore, area of paper =2.5+6.5+1.5+(2×4.5)=19.5cm2
