Given: Radius of the coil=R
Solution: The value of magnetic field at any point on the axial line is given by,
B=μ0iR2(R2+x2)32 (1)
Magnetic field at the middle of the coil (x=0)
B=μ0i2R (From (1)) (2)
Magnetic field at x=R3
B=μ0i16R (3)
On dividing equation (2) by (3) we get ratio equals to 8:1.
Hence the correct option is (D).
