Question

Raghu bought pulses equal to the weight of 20 guavas and 15 beetroots. If the weight of one guava is 150 g and the weight of one beetroot is 200 g, then how much kg of pulses did he buy? (All guavas and beetrots are identical)

Given:
Weight of Pulses = weight of 20 guavas + weight of 15 beetroots
Weight of 1 beetroot = 200 g
(1 kg = 1000 g)
Weight of 15 beetroots = 200g × 15 = 3000 g = 3 kg
Weight of 1 guava = 150 g
Weight of 20 guavas = 150 g × 20 = 3000 g = 3 kg
So, weight of Pulses = 3 + 3 = 6 kg
