How many machines can he buy if he gets a discount of Rs. 50 on each machine ?

Price of each machine = Rs. 200
Price after given discount of Rs. 50
= Rs. 200 - 50 = Rs. 150
Let machine can be purchase = x
$\begin{array}{ccc}\text{Price (in Rs.)}& 200& 150\\ \text{MAchines}& 75& x\end{array}$
Less price, more machines
$\therefore$ By inverse variation,
$200:150=x:75\Rightarrow \frac{200}{150}=\frac{x}{75}\Rightarrow x\times 150=200\times 75\Rightarrow x=\frac{200\times 75}{150}=100$
$\therefore$ Number of machines can be purchased = 100
