The correct option is C 30,000 Let ₹x be the amount he invested in post office and ₹(50,000-x) will be the amount he invested in private bank. ⇒x×4100+(50,000−x)×5100=2300 ⇒4x+2,50,000−5x100=2300 ⇒−x+2,50,000=2,30,000 ⇒x=₹20000 Therefore amount invested private bank = 50,000 - 20,000 = ₹ 30,000
