Let the rainfall be h m

Volume of water collected in the cylindrical vessel = Volume of rain water drained from the roof

= 45π(1)2×(72) = 22×20×h

Hence h =150m

1m = 100 cm

Hence 150m = 10050 = 2 cm

Hence rainfall = 2cm
