The best way to remove the Horlicks clumps is through filtration. While filtering the Horlicks solution, the powder clumps remain with the filter paper.

We choose filtration because Horlicks is a solution since it dissolves in milk. The dissolved particles of Horlicks go through the filter paper along with milk, and the undissolved portion remains on the filter paper, getting us exactly what we need.
