The correct option is C $10$ metres
The movements of Raj are as shown in fig (X to Y, Y to A, A to B, B to C).
$∴$ Raj's distance from the starting point
$= X C = (X Y - Y C) = (X Y - B A)$
$= (80 - 70) m = 10 m$ .
