Dear Student,

Reason:

1) Aluminium react with oxygen and a protective layer of aluminium oxide is formed on the surface of aluminium vessel which further prevent the oxidation of aluminium vessel.

2) In case of iron rusting take place due to which vessel made up of iron got damaged while in case of the oxide layer of aluminium act as barrier between aluminium metal surface of vessel and oxygen , other reactive species present in air.
