Solution
Rajiv will not be able to protect himself by the loss caused to expired medicine because Rajiv did not fulfil his responsibility on following grounds: (i) He did not go through the packing instructions mentioned on the label of the packet (ii) He did not obtain the cash memo from the seller. Cash memo is a proof of purchase and it is must for filing any complaint.
