R = 10 % per annum
T = 3 yr
$\therefore I=\frac{P\times R\times T}{100}=\frac{3000\times 10\times 3}{100}=Rs900andA=P+I=3000+900=Rs.3900ForMohini,P=Rs.4000,R=10\%perannumandT=2\frac{1}{2}yr=\frac{5}{2}yr\therefore I=\frac{P\times R\times T}{100}=\frac{4000\times 10\times 5}{100\times 2}=Rs.1000andA=P+I=4000+1000=Rs.5000$
Difference in amounts = 5000 - 3900 = Rs. 1100
