Let $^{'} x^{'}$ be the amount he saved.
Given : $b a t + b a l l = \frac{x}{3}$
bat $= \frac{3}{4} (\frac{x}{3})$
bat $= \frac{x}{4}$
$\frac{x}{4} + b = \frac{x}{3}$
$b = \frac{x}{3} - \frac{x}{4}$
$b = \frac{4 x - 3 x}{12} = \frac{x}{12}$
So, he spend $\frac{1}{4} t h$ of his savings on the bat and $\frac{1}{12} t h$ of savings on ball.
