Raju bought x packet of pencils, each containing 10 pencils. He distributed 6 packets. Which expression shows the number of pencils left with him?

Formation of an Expression:

Packet bought by Raju =x

Number of pencils in 1 packet =10

Total number of pencils =x×10=10x

Number of packets distributed by Raju =6

i.e. number of pencils distributed by Raju =6×10=60

Therefore, the number of pencils left with Raju =10x-60
