Raju sold an article by giving a discount of 8% for Rs. 17,940 and earn profit of 19.6 %. If he did not give discount then how much profit percentage he gets ?

S.P = Rs 17940 Discount = 8%

$\therefore M.P=\frac{S.P\times 100}{100-discount}=\frac{17940\times 100}{100-8}$

$=\frac{1794000}{92}=Rs.19,500$

Profit = 19.6%

$\therefore C.P=\frac{S.P\times 100}{100+profit}=\frac{17940\times 100}{100+19.6}=\frac{1794000}{119.6}$

If he didnot give discount then S.P = Rs 19500, C.P= Rs 15,000

Profit = S.P- C.P = 19500-15000= Rs 4500

Profit % = $\frac{profit}{C.P}\times 100=\frac{4500}{15000}\times 100=30$%
