According to question, sum of ages of Sania and Rakesh is 27 years.
$$\begin{gathered} \therefore x+\left(x-5\right)=27 \\ \Rightarrow x+x-5=27 \\ \Rightarrow 2x-5=27 \\ \Rightarrow 2x=27+5 \\ \Rightarrow 2x=32 \\ \Rightarrow x=16 \end{gathered}$$
So, age of Sania = x years = 16 years
age of Rakesh = (x − 5) years = (16 − 5) years = 11 years
