Let total work = 48 units. (Here, 48 in LCM of 12 and 16. Here we take LCM so that number of units is divisible by both 12 and 16.) Ram takes 12 days and Shyam takes 16 days.
Thus, per day they do 4 units and 3 units per day.
That is together they do 7 units of work in a single day.
Thus, in 4 days they will do 28 units of work out of 48 units. Thus, work performed by Suresh = 20 units.
It is given that for 48 units of work they get 7200 Rs. Thus per unit they are getting (7200/48 = 150 Rs.)
Thus, for 20 units of work Suresh should get (20 × 150=3000 Rs.)
